Anwer Ali stuns Sri Lanka with power hitting

Anwer Ali became a night mare for Sri Lanka in their home ground during the last T20 match of the series on 1st August 2015 played in Colombo. The all rounder deprived the hosts from a much needed victory as they had not won anything against Pakistan in the ongoing series. Pakistan sealed victories in all three formats of cricket in their tour to Islanders.

Sri Lanka came under fire after securing early successes in the match. The hosts were dominating over Pakistan after the end of first half of the match as visitors top order could not make any impact in the match. First five batsmen of Pakistan could only add 40 runs in their total and took the way to pavilion.

Sri Lanka did well in the field and gave all sorts of tough time to the visitors. Everything was working in their favor at that time and Pakistani players were simply out of the equation. However, skipper Shahid Afridi broke the ice with his traditional style and hit several sixes in the match.

He added valuable 45 runs in his team’s total before leaving the arena. His mission was accomplished by powerful Anwer Ali who got the better of opposition in no time. The front bowlers of Sri Lanka were under fire when he joined the left hander in the middle.

Sri Lanka was forced to lick the dust in front of their home crowd second time in the series. The motivated men in green secured excellent victory with some impressive show on the night. Al the team official and spectators were delighted with splendid victory.
